Want to save time on your designs? Then try using grids!
What are grids
Grids are made to help you place your content in a beautiful and coherent format. It's a sort of big placeholder where you can add images, text, plain colors, graphic elements and so on. The great thing about grids is that all the alignments have been made for you so you can just drag and drop your content and save time on your creations.
Add or remove grid
Click the Elements tab on the far left-hand side of the screen, then press the Grids folder to display our inventory of different grids. We have lots of different options, from single image placeholders to grids that can hold many different images in a variety of layout combinations.
To add a grid on your page, simply click on the grid element. By default, the grid will be added so that it takes up the whole page, but you can always resize your grid so that it only covers a portion of the page.
To remove your grid, simply select it and press delete.
Add photo in grid
To add a photo, either click the Search tab and find a photo you like, or use one of your own under the uploads tab. Then click and drag the photo into a grid space.
You are free to edit the photos in each individual grid space. Make sure to click on the grid space you wish to edit. You can crop, flip and set the filters for photos inside a grid.
Add color in grid
Click on a grid space to select it and open its menu bar. To fill the grid space with a solid color, click the color button. If the grid space is empty or has a photo in it, the color button will have rainbow colors in it.
Clicking the color button will open the color menu. The color menu will feature a color palette of some basic colors, as well as the ones you've recently used in your page. You can fill the grid space with any of these colors by clicking on a color. If you’d like a different color, click the add new color button, which looks like a circle with a plus sign inside.
Clicking on the add new color button will open the color wheel. Click and drag the small circle in the color wheel until you find the exact color you’d like to use in the grid space. You can also drag the value slider on the bottom to adjust how light or dark your color is.
If you know the hex code of the color you’d like to use, you can copy and paste its six-digit color code into the field marked color code # in the color wheel menu.
Add text in grid
Click on the Text tab on the far left-hand side of the screen. To add text to your design, click any of the text elements or text holders you see under the Text tab.
Once the text has been placed in your page, click and drag it to move it inside your grid. You can add text on top of both colored grid spaces or photo grid spaces.
If your design has many overlapping elements on top of your grid, you may need to rearrange them. To move text above or below another element, click the text element to select it and open its edit menu, then click the expand arrow. Press Move back at the bottom of the menu to place your text below an element underneath it, or press Move forward to place it on top of the element above it.
